Dr. Thralls Butte earned her Dual M.S. degrees in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional 科学 from San Diego State University (SDSU). She completed her PhD in Public 健康 (健康 Behavior & Promotion) from University of California, San Diego/SDSU. Her recent research has focused on extending independence and quality of life of older adults through physical activity and sedentary behavior. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has experience working in many settings with a variety of populations including athletes, individuals with spinal cord injury, 体弱多病的老年人.
Outside of academia, Dr. Thralls Butte has held leadership positions in college ministry through Young Life. She was also a student-athlete at SPU where she played basketball and ran cross country and track. She continues to be a fitness enthusiast doing a wide variety of activities.
